SystemBase Lemonix™
Eddy Real-Time Linux, the basis for embedded software standard platform
Lemonix™ is a Linux-based standard operating system based designed to be applied on diverse next generation embedded software platforms.
Lemonix™, unlike classic embedded operating systems, supports network-based operations and ubiquitous network system to utilize standardized, miniaturized, real time embedded systems in ubiquitous computing environment. Furthermore, it is provided as embedded software standard platform with diverse middleware and increased convenience.
While embedded software with various scales and properties are in demand, application software programmers call for more coherent and unified developing system. Lemonix™ accepts all these requests.
The Lemonix™ operating system implants hardware optimization technology such as miniaturization, low-power support, resource management since it is limited in size, price and resources. Moreover, it provides network support, real-time scheduler, multimedia file system and quick booting capability all of which can be easily installed to target embedded systems through setup tool.
Lemonix™ comes up with following features:
- Power Management
- Multimedia File System
- Communication
- Setups
SystemBase LemonIDE™
Eddy Integrated Development Environment for Embedded Software System Development
SystemBase LemonIDE™ is an Eclipse-based integrated development environment for embedded software that provides GUI (Graphic User Interface) environment in which applications and firmware for real-time Linux system, Lemonix, can be easily developed. It also resolves former problems in TUI based development environment by providing an environment which enables all developing processes such as GNU C/C++ compiler, source code editor, debugger and etc. to be executed on a single program. This means that users don’t have to be familiar with each compiler or debugger’s program commands. Not only does LemonIDE™ provide the convenience to execute successive processes from compiling to debugging with only mouse clicks by providing a unified GUI but it also provides almost every development abilities such as automatic Makefile creation, automatic source completion, remote debugging, plug-in support, target system monitoring and etc. Furthermore, it is provided in both Linux and Windows version so that developers can choose whichever is more convenient for them.
Lemon IDE™ contains following tools:
- LemonIDE™ IDE : Designed to support project-based C/C++ source program editing, cross-compiling, remote execution, connection with GUI builder.
- LemonIDE™ Debugger : Debugs programs developed with LemonIDE™. Supports stop-point based debugging and trace point based debugging which does not need stopping the program.
- Monitoring tools : Shows information on target system’s memory, process, resource, battery usage and etc.
- Target Agent : Executed on target system. Provides functions such as file transmitting or remote execution in connection with host system.
Eddy Utility Program
SystemBase’s self-developed utility programs COM Port Redirector, PortView and TestView are designed for fluent performance of Portbase, Eddy and Wicomm.
- The COM Port Redirector, which can COM-communicate by creating a virtual COM-Port on the controlled PC, can still be used on former control programs controlled by COM-Port.
- PortView, designed for remote monitoring device products, can monitor components needed for function such as status information, serial port status and serial data’s debugging.
- TestView, designed for testing each serial communication products, has wider range of testing communication with its ability to communicate in TCP/UDP Server-Client mode as well as COM communication.
- SNMP is also provided enabling an easy monitor and management of devices connected to a network.
SystemBase commits to long-term end-of-life expectancy for Eddy modules
SystemBase does not have any obsolescence plan for Eddy v2.0 & v2.1 series yet.
Moreover, SystemBase to produce Eddy v2.0 & v2.1 series for at least 5 years from their respective launch date.
