Hardware Design

Digital Hardware Design

hardware design

Digital Hardware Design consists of develoment, schematic entry and layout of microcontroller or DSP-based platforms. Some examples show the range of designed platforms:

  • Xilinx FPGA (Virtex, Spartan)
  • Motorola 68K
  • AMD x86
  • Intel XScale
  • 8051
  • Texas Instrument C3x
  • Analog Devices Shark DSP

Analog and Mixed-Signal Hardware Design

Analog circuit design implies a good knowledge of physics. Examples are:
SMPS, ADC (24 bit, 12 Msps), DAC, analog interfaces (precision, opto-isolation, level-shifting), line drivers.
Our analog designs, almost always being part of a larger setting, are typically working on PCI, PMC or VME extension cards.

Area of Expertise

  • Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)
  • Embedded Systems Design
  • PC-based Systems Design
  • Motion Control
  • Digital Signal Processing
  • Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
  • Rapid Prototyping
