Note on the current memory market situation
The global market for DDR3, DDR4 and DDR5 memory is currently highly volatile. Delivery times and prices are difficult to plan, especially for manufacturers such as Samsung and Micron.
This situation makes it almost impossible to reliably calculate price fluctuations at present – even with early procurement or existing memory stocks. We currently receive the most reliable information from Nanya and ISSI.
Despite forward planning, delivery times of 12 months or more are possible. In order to increase security of supply and stabilise costs, we are internally reviewing a reduction in the number of variants in order to simplify sourcing and keep price increases for our customers as low as possible.
Early and reliable demand planning is therefore essential.
Long-term agreements and framework contracts are given priority, as they currently represent the best basis for availability and planning security.
Regardless of this, we will have to rely more on NCNR orders in the future in order to ensure reliable planning and supply under the current market conditions.
