DPS3340: Programmable three-channel DC USB power supply
Product information "DPS3340: Programmable three-channel DC USB power supply"
Digilent's Discovery USB Programmable Power Supply (DPS3340) is a three channel variable DC programmable power supply that allows users to control the power provided to their external circuits. Providing both constant voltage and constant current modes with built in readback sensors and optional tracking for the output channels, you can confidently power your circuits according to your requirements.
Driven by the free WaveForms software (Mac, Linux, and Windows compatible), the Discovery USB Programmable Power Supply can be used either as a stand-alone product or in combination with any of Digilent's Test and Measurement devices acting as its own Tool within the WaveForms software — no external triggers or multiple instances of software required.
The Discovery USB Programmable Power Supply has 3 programmable Digital Voltage Supplies, which can supply between 1 V to +5 V at up to 3 A, -1 V to -15 V at up to -500 mA, and 1 V to +15 V at up to 500 mA through the Power Supplies (“Supplies”) instrument.
The DPS3340 can either be used as a standalone device within the WaveForms software, or can be used co-currently with any Digilent Test and Measurement device as an additional Power Supply tool within a single WaveForms instance by clicking the Select+ button after first choosing the primary T&M device.
Each of the power supply rails is associated with an LED available on the connector, just above the supply's banana connector, which is used to indicate the operating mode of that supply. When a load doesn't require more current than the supply's current limit, the supply operates in Constant Voltage (CV) mode, and the indicator LED is green. When the load does try to draw more current than the current limit, the supply operates in Constant Current (CC) mode, and the LED is red. WaveForms' Supplies instrument UI for the DPS3340 also features these LEDs, showing CV mode with a green indicator and CC with a red indicator.
All channels have integrated readback for voltage and current. Additionally, output channels 2 and 3 share a common ground connection as well as providing optional tracking of both voltage output and current limits through the WaveForms software.
Digilent products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for 30 days from the date of purchase.
No other express or implied warranties are provided.
